The Calgary Lions Club organized Alberta's first Ford Model T race in 1941. This fundraiser supported the Waifs and Strays Society, assisting orphans and displaced children resulting from German air raids on Britain.Stan Reynolds, the Museum's primary benefactor raced many stripped-down Model Ts throughout the 1940s.
