'Natural Survivors' Facilitated School Program
Recommended for Grades: 1-3
How do plants and animals survive? How do plants and animals live and grow? How do plants and animals interact?
Alberta is a province of WILD diversity, with 6 natural regions and 21 sub-regions in addition to its seasonal swings from frigid winters to bountiful summers. In this program participants will explore the different adaptations plants and animals have developed to survive and thrive in Alberta. Exploring the dioramas in our Natural History Hall; students will be able to answer how plants and animals adapt to survive. Topics include developing specific ranges, seasonal adaptations, migration and hibernation.
Important information about this program:
The facilitated portion of this program lasts approximately 1 hour, it will include an immersive activity with one of our educators. After it finishes, you will have an allotted time in one of our lunchrooms, then you are free to roam the galleries as long as you would like as your program includes admission to the museum.
