'Identity Stories' Facilitated School Program

Recommended for Grades: 2-6

How do traditions, geographical regions or ways of life shape identity?

In this program, students will participate in an immersive storytelling experience and hands-on activity in the Human History Hall to explore topics of individual and community identity. By answering questions, making observations, sketching and presenting, students will be able to demonstrate how meaningful stories about a person or community's identity can be unlocked through objects.

Important information about this program:

The facilitated portion of this program lasts approximately 1.5 hours, it will include an immersive activity with one of our educators. After it finishes, you will have an allotted time in one of our lunchrooms, then you are free to roam the galleries as long as you would like as your program includes admission to the museum.
