Junior Museum Skills Workshop: Bug Pinning

March 14th is Learn About Butterflies Day. Join us at RAM as we, along with an entomologist from the Northern Forestry Center, celebrate butterflies and their moth cousins. Learn about the butterflies of Alberta and how researchers preserve collected specimens for future research and display. What can these pollinators help us discover about our ecosystems?

 

This workshop is open to all visitors in 5th to 8th grade - no experience necessary. Participants will receive one insect to pin and a shadow box to display it in.
