From the 1960s to the 1990s, Alberta's oil sands industry underwent a dramatic transformation. Its focus was rural northern Fort McMurray, Alberta's crown jewel. With infusions of song, dance, and live music, this presentation tells the story of the often under-recognized recruitment of skilled workers from the Carribean, trained in British universities and technical schools.
