PROMPTLY JOURNAL - AUTOBIOGRAPHY

These journals have made it easy to record your life story, so you can get back to living it. PUBLICATION REPRINT - WHAT'S WRONG WITH COMIC BOOKS?

A reprinted publication from the Advisory Board on Objectionable Publications from the 1950s to 1970s. This board was part of the Alberta Government and was censoring comic books and magazines because they believed that children were being corrupted and turned towards crime.

 

This booklet was reporduced for pure enjoyment and a comical read that describes our history.

TEA LIGHT CANDLE HOLDER

Create a cozy glow this winter a tea light candleholder! A round white porcelain candleholder printed with an image (Photo OCH3456) from the Provincial Archives of Alberta photo collection is perfect for holding your favourite standard-sized tea light. This classic white cotton tea towel is adorned with an image of a beautiful costume sketch by Phillip Silver for the Citadel Theatre production of Pygmalion (PR1978.0209.0003). Featuring a full colour image of this unique costume design, this machine washable tea towel is sure to brighten up your kitchen! This classic white cotton tea towel is adorned with an image of a common miracle cure featured in newspapers during the 1918 Spanish Flu. Gin Pills promised to cure a large variety of ailments from the flu to backaches to kidney problems. This advertisement was taken from a February 1920 edition of the Edmonton Journal newspaper. The towel is machine washable and is sure to bring some humour to your kitchen! Each of these unique tea towels are made in Vancouver, British Columbia.

TEA TOWEL – MENTHOL BAG

This classic white cotton tea towel is adorned with an image of a common miracle cure featured in newspapers during the 1918 Spanish Flu. Menthol Bags promised to cure the flu by strapping the bag to your chest, where the fumes would rise to your face from the heat of your body and kill the germs! This advertisement was taken from an October 1918 edition of the Edmonton Journal newspaper   complete with a coupon! The towel is machine washable and is sure to bring some humour to your kitchen! Each of these unique tea towels are made in Vancouver, British Columbia.
