NOTEBOOK - FOOD AND COMMUNITY

A lined notebook featuring an archival photograph (A21639) from the Provincial Archives of Alberta collection titled Field Day, Picnic,taken by a photographer from the Department of Public Health in 1928. The notebook s front page has a recipe for strawberry ice cream from the F. Mae Deans fonds (PR2010.0566.0165/80) that correlates with the delicious looking ice cream cones held by the women in the cover image. On an index card tucked into the front of the notebook, Archives Store clients will be delighted to find the complete recipe for strawberry ice cream.

PANORAMIC PHOTO BOOKMARK

Featuring a hand-coloured photo of the Columbia Icefield from 1964 (Photo PR1991.0374.0617) on one side and a black and white image from the 100th Anniversary of the Edmonton Police Force in 1992 (Photo PR1996.0404.0001) on the other, this bookmark celebrates the panoramic photo collection from the Provincial Archives of Alberta.

The bookmark measures two inches wide by eight inches long.

 

PANORAMIC PHOTO SCARF

Featuring a colour photo of the Edmonton skyline from 1910 (PR1971.0097.0001a), this poly chiffon scarf celebrates the panoramic photo collection from the Provincial Archives of Alberta.

The scarf measures 16 inches wide by 72 inches long.

 

PANORAMIC PHOTO TRINKET TRAY

Featuring an archival photo of Calgary from the 1940s (Photo P4720), this trinket tray is as lovely as it is functional. Place this tray on your desk to hold stationery or use it on your dresser to hold jewellry, keys, or other odds and ends. It can also be used as a serving tray as it is certified food-safe.

The tray measures 12.7 cm wide by 17.8 cm long.

A 300 piece felt-board puzzle featuring photo A13902, an archival image of downtown Edmonton taken by photographer Esther N. Kelly in 1920.

This 300 piece feltboard puzzle features photo A3989, an archival image of Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park taken by mountaineer and photographer Joe Weiss in 1940.

 

READING ROOM MUG

While drinks are not allowed inside of the Reading Room at the Provincial Archives of Alberta, you can now enjoy your favourite hot drink inside of a mug that features an image of the Reading Room! TOTE BAG - FOOD AND COMMUNITY

This sturdy canvas tote bag features an archival photograph (GS156.5) from 1947 taken by a photographer from the Garneau Studio which depicts young women working in a school kitchen on one side. On the other side of the bag, the buyer will discover another delectable recipe from the F. Mae Deans fonds   this time, for blueberry banana muffins (PR2010.0566.0165/38). The complete recipe is on an index card found inside the bag, which makes it perfect for whipping up upon coming in from the garden or returning from the farmers' market.
