SPRING PACKAGE

Dig into gardening with this customized gift pack from the Provincial Archives of Alberta! It includes two types of heirloom seeds and a water bottle featuring artwork created by the Dominion Scientific Temperance Committee (PR1974.0001.0400a.0001).

The Bountiful bean has a Canadian heritage! In 1897, Abel Steele from Ferguson, Ontario won a prize for naming this newly-introduced variety. This bush is touted for its hardiness and each plant produces 6 to 7 inch long stringless pods.

The Italian heirloom zucchini is perfect in small gardens. It produces large numbers of beautiful fruits that are dark green with light green stripes and can be used for slicing, frying, and steaming. This is also a great variety for freezing and canning.
