ATHABASCA LANDING ROUTE: YORK BOATS-STURGEON HEADS-SCOWS
The Athabasca Landing Route stretched from Fort Edmonton to Fort McMurray via Athabasca Landing. The HBC used the Athabasca Landing to Fort McMurray section from 1882 to 1920. It was a route with hazards as boats and freight were destroyed, and lives were lost. This book is sure to bring the reader appreciation of the adventurous rivermen, their boats, and the events that comprised this route.
