Dinosaur Provincial Park

Centrosaurus Quarry Hike

Interpretive Programs such as bus tours and hikes begin on Saturday of the Victoria Day (May) long weekend and run until mid October. Reservations are highly recommended for these popular programs.

There are Interpretive Programs for all ages and all levels of physical ability. Age limits for each program are strictly adhered to plus some programs have footwear restrictions (no sandals or crocs).

For any outdoor programs please make sure you bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and insect repellent and wear sturdy closed toe and heel footwear (running shoes are fine but NO crocs, sandals, or flip flops!).

Hike over 2 kilometres up sandstone ridges to a former dig site where hundreds of horned dinosaurs died 76 million years ago. Due to distance and extreme heat there is an age restriction on this hike which is 7 years and up. Babies, toddlers and children 6 years and under are not allowed on this rugged hike.

Footwear restriction on all outdoor programs: wear proper hiking shoes or other closed toe and heel shoes for the badlands! No sandals, crocs, flip flops, etc on the park's outdoor programs!

The Centrosaurus Quarry Hike offers a Family rate and the online reservation site will pick the best deal for your family of up to 5. Families include 2 Adults and their Youth (7-17 years). Other tickets that do not fit into the Family rate will remain at the regular price and added to your purchase.
