Fossil Safari

Interpretive Programs such as bus tours and hikes begin on Saturday of the Victoria Day (May) long weekend and run until mid October. Reservations are highly recommended for these popular programs.

There are Interpretive Programs for all ages and all levels of physical ability. Age limits for each program are strictly adhered to plus some programs have footwear restrictions (no sandals or crocs).

For any outdoor programs please make sure you bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and insect repellent and wear sturdy closed toe and heel footwear (running shoes are fine but NO crocs, sandals, or flip flops!).

Fossil Safaris are a very interactive way to learn about the science of Palaeontology in Dinosaur Provincial Park. This program is especially good for families and those who want to experience what it is like to be a palaeontologist. This program is for all ages.

The Fossil Safari offers a Family rate and the online reservation site will pick the best deal for your family of up to 5. Families include 2 Adults and their Youth or Children. Other tickets that do not fit into the Family rate will remain at the regular price and added to your purchase.

Please wear closed-toe and heel footwear for this program!
