Dinosaur Provincial Park

Dogs and Bones and Dogs

Interpretive Programs such as bus tours and hikes begin on Saturday of the Victoria Day (May) long weekend and run until mid October. Reservations are highly recommended for these popular programs.

There are Interpretive Programs for all ages and all levels of physical ability. Age limits for each program are strictly adhered to plus some programs have footwear restrictions (no sandals or crocs).

For any outdoor programs please make sure you bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and insect repellent and wear sturdy closed toe and heel footwear (running shoes are fine but NO crocs, sandals, or flip flops!).

We invite you and your DOGS to join us for a guided walk of the Public Scenic Loop Road. Your guide will share general information about the park and you will get to see and touch authentic fossils (BONES). At the conclusion of the hike, we'll cook hotDOGS at the campfire in the day use area.

Please note that this program will be cancelled to ensure visitor safety in the event of:

- Severe weather conditions (winter storms)

- Windchill of -22 C or lower.

Please dress appropriately for weather conditions. Gripped footwear with spikes/crampons are recommended for icy conditions.
