THE ALBERTA MÉTIS LETTERS

In an approach that allows the writers of letters, reports, proposals and policy to speak for themselves, this book covers the critical decade of the 1930s in which the first definitive provincial Métis policy in Canada was produced. The review includes:

THE LUKAS ENCOUNTERS 1: THE GHOST TRAIN

June was a trying month for Lukas - a month of endless waiting. Once school was done for the year, Lukas would join his cousin KC on "The Farm," where his father and his Uncle Ben had grown up. Uncle Ben had just bought a new horse named Nugget. Now both KC and Lukas had a horse to ride, and a summer full of adventure beckoned.

But then KC told Lukas about something new. A "ghost train" had been sighted, running on the branch line not far from The Farm. And not just any ghost train. This was the Ghost Train, a train with ties to Lukas' very own family, a train long absent but now mysteriously reappearing when the moon was full.

THE LUKAS ENCOUNTERS 2: THE WÎHTIKOW REX

The terrifying Wîhtikow Rex takes centre stage in this exciting second book in The Lukas Encounters. The mysterious creature, a Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton that Lukas and his cousin KC accidentally bring to life, is described in Cree mythology as a ravening monster that grows as it consumes its victims.

THE LUKAS ENCOUNTERS 3: THE ICE DRAGON

Lukas already faces serious trouble when a grizzy bear attack sets off an entirely new round of dangers and difficulties in the exciting third book in The Lukas Encounters!

After a racial incident directed at his best friend - one in which Lukas failed to provide support - he hopes to gain inspiration to repair the damage by hiking a mountain named after his late grandfather's elite parachute battalion. But the hike is interrupted by the grizzly, which in turn is driven off by Baax, a dragon breathing icy 'coldfire'.

TISSUE PAPER, 15” x 20”, Acid-Free Buffered - PKG of 5

Buffered storage materials are acid-free and lignin-free with a pH of around 8.5. This tissue is excellent for interleaving between pages of paper-based records that degrade and become more acidic over time, such as newsprint.

TISSUE PAPER, 20" x 30", Acid-Free Unbuffered - PKG of 5

Unbuffered storage materials are acid-free and lignin-free and contain no additional alkaline reserve to raise the pH of the storage paper or the items in contact with it. These tissues are excellent for internal support of three-dimensional textiles (e.g., dresses, uniforms), layering of flat textiles for storage; and wrapping of leather objects. Blueprints and colour photographs should always be stored using unbuffered material (or inert plastics).
